All domestic and regional media wrote about the unpleasant situation that befell the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, ie the Episcopal Palace in Nikšić, and after learning about this problem, the Purović brothers who live and work in the USA, provided money to buy a generator. According to the statement of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, the Episcopal Palace, located in the former King Nikola Summer House, a cultural asset of Montenegro, is without electricity supply, although all debts have been regulated and all necessary documentation has been submitted.

“As the solution was not in sight in the foreseeable future, our friends and humane citizens reacted. Namely, Nikšić citizens, Montenegrins of the Islamic faith who live and work in America, brothers Enver Vecko Purović, Brahim Baka Purović and Gurso Purović learned through a relative, Muhamed Gjokaj, who lives in Tuzi and in the village of Dinoša, that the Episcopal Palace is in darkness.

Our friend Mr. Gjokaj sent an article and a report to his and our brothers Purović about the problem that the Montenegrin Orthodox Church is facing, and they asked him to buy a generator and donate it to the Episcopal Court in Nikšić. Because, as they say, “Both the church and the mosque are holy places for all believers without distinction.” We would like to publicly thank them in this way, and we hope that we will have the opportunity to do so personally in the near future”, was said in a statement of the Montenegrin orthodox church.
