This year, believers should celebrate Christmas Eve only in the presence of family and loved ones
This year, the Montenegrin Orthodox Church will celebrate Christmas Eve and place on fire the Christmas Oak (Badnjak) in the organization of local church committees, but without greater public presence. Believers should celebrate Christmas Eve only in the presence of family and loved ones.
We appeal to all citizens to adhere to the measures signed by the National Coordination Body due to the danger of spreading the coronavirus.
We remind the public that a large number of citizens died from the corona virus, which they became infected with last year. This is mainly because the authorities, not taking into account the protection measures, allowed the mass entry of foreign citizens, many of whom were infected, and who massively infected Montenegro with the coronavirus.
The Montenegrin Church will hold a memorial service for all those who died from this virus. These days, we deeply mourn and sympathize with all the victims of the coronavirus and those who mourn for the loved ones succumbed from it.
We express our deepest gratitude to all medical workers and those who are fighting for the salvation of the people from this plague these days, and we invoke God’s grace on all of them.
