A delegation of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church visited the Embassy of Ukraine
On March 22, 2022, a delegation of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Mihailo led the Church delegation, which today visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Podgorica, hosted by H.E. Chargé d’Affaires Ms. Natalia Fialka.
Ms. Fialka informed the Metropolitan and the delegation about the current situation in Ukraine, and that according to their information, about five thousand Ukrainian citizens arrived in Montenegro.
In the conversation with Ms. Fialka, His Beatitude expressed his condolences to the people of Ukraine, as well as the readiness of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, in accordance with its modest possibilities, to help the Ukrainian people who found refuge in Montenegro.
The Metropolitan also appealed to the Montenegrin people to help the suffering people arriving in Montenegro in the domain of their abilities, and invited everyone capable for that to contact the Embassy of Ukraine in Podgorica.
The delegation, beside His Beatitude Metropolitan Mihailo, consisted of the Most Reverend Bishop Boris and Subdeacon Stefan Marković.
