Issuing a baptismal certificate in the Montenegrin Orthodox Church
One Lord, one faith, one baptism
Ephesians, chapter 4, verse 5
Christ was once born, once baptized, once suffered on the Cross for our salvation, and once resurrected.
By being baptized again, we mock on the Cross on which Christ was crucified.
Due to the growing interest of the faithful people, those who were baptized in other local churches, especially those baptized in the Serbian Orthodox Church, to obtain the baptismal certificate from the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, with the blessing of Metropolitan Michael, we inform the public and the faithful people that all baptisms are recognized in the Montenegrin Orthodox Church.
The confusing practice of re-baptism of already baptized people, which is carried out by the Serbian Orthodox Church, makes many wonder if they have to be baptized again in the Montenegrin Orthodox Church. The answer is no. If you want a baptismal certificate issued by the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, it is enough to enclose a copy of the baptismal certificate issued in another church.
